NISW conducted Integrated Management of Neonatal Child Illness training for AWWs of Jajpur district in collaboration of NRHM, Jajpur in our training Hall. It is a residential training of duration 8days & 24no of participants of each batch.4no of resource persons allotted in each batch to deliver the training.

NISW are selected as district training site to conduct the residential training of ASHA HBNC training for 6th & 7th module for ASHAs of Danagadi, Sukinda & Partially of Korai & Binjharpur Block by NRHM Jajpur. The ideal size of a batch is 30no of ASHAs. Two District level traininers conducted the training & duration of a batch was 5 days.

NISW also conducted field level residential training of Panchayat Raj Representatives of Korai Block with support DRDA, Jajpur. The training was conducted at Gurukula Ashram, Batira. We conducted 7no.of Batches & covered 16no of Panchayats of Korai Block. Each Batch was facilitated by 2no of trained resource pesons selected by SIRD, Bhubaneswar.

NISW has been striving for the empowerment of the women self help groups. Presently m linked with bank and also taking pleasure of inter linked with the Government s their own. The animators are imparting training to importance of SHGs in poverty alleviation, significance of meetings, internal lending, loan processing, democratic decision making, record keeping, accessing financial assistance from the local banks etc. Apart from the above there are other issues like women�s rights, legal rights, domestic violence, community development and their responsibilities, sustainability of community activities etc are also discussed time to time in the meetings
